Dol-Toi Furniture?

The furniture in these pictures came with my new (old) Lundby house. I have been able to identify most of it as Doi-toi from seaching the net and looking at eBay past auctions. I think it is original to the house and purchased around the same time - 1969.

Let me know if I am wrong.

I know that some of you will be able to help identify the rest - like the dining room table and chairs and the bunk beds and rocking chair. Maybe they are Dol-Toi too. The construction seems a little coarser to me.

The pink bathroom set is hard plastic and the toilet seems to be marked 'England" The other sink is off white and was just too cute not to include. The taps are different from the pink one, so I don't think it's from the same manufacturer.

I thought this furniture might be cute in a late '60s Rich or Keystone house (if I ever get one). Suggestions for its use are appreciated.

I'm looking forward to your feedback.

Hugs

Susan

  2. Both of your blue floor Lundby houses came with wonderful furniture! I think the pink and black bath was made by Barton for Caroline's Home. Great find, this last house and its contents!!

  3. I like you am making up for lost time. I didn't have a doll house as a child. Got my first one in my 40's yet I can play like a little kid for hours on end. I find it so healthy and just great fun. I love all your little furniture especially the blue vaccuum. Now you wrote that I was one of your Favorite Bloggers. AAAaaawwww - I'm smiling. How nice of you! It hasn't even been 3 months yet and I am so full of ideas. I just love to share the fun. Thank you so very much. Amy

  4. Wow! I recognise quite a lot of Dol-toi pieces there. As Florine said, the pink bath set are Caroline's Home (looks identical to a set I rather generously gave my niece for her Lundby house :-))

The Dol-toi book shelf and books in the first picture is a real treasure! I have not seen one with all the little books before, they are usually long lost. And the wooden vacuum is, I think, early Dol-toi and another rare treasure (at least I haven't seen one for sale or I would definitely have snapped it up!). Great blog and lovely stuff.

  5. Thanks Amy! I love your blog. It's so funny and your people are a riot - and you feel the way I do about the little people and things - they all have personalities and back stories. Keep sharing!!

  6. Thanks Pandora; I knew some of the furniture was Doi-toi because it was marked, and all the books are marked on the back cover. I did an extensive google search for Dol-toi references and pictures and found a lot of it. The vacuum cleaner was called rare in one ebay listing I saw, so I guess it is hard to find.
Thanks for the help identifying this stuff. And welcome to my blog!!

  7. The red table and stool set are dol toi Rutland style. I had a yellow version in my dolls house, which were dol toi but exclusive to hobbies of dereham. Sadly I gave my house and furniture away and am now regretting it terribly. Not sure if I'll ever find those yellow kitchen items!
