She loves the little benches at the front door even though one needs a repair. She's confident she can have it fixed.
She wonders what kind of party blew out the front window, but she doesn't let that deter her from looking the house over.
She's getting to be an old hand at this house business and she doesn't hesitate to ask the price.
$30.00? Well, it isn't quite as nice as the last house, but the benches at the front door have cinched the deal. Again Daphne's traveling companion gets out her wallet. And again the house goes into the car.
As soon as she can, Daphne puts her garage sale furniture in to the house, just to see how it looks.

The scales are a bit wonky, but Daphne knows there is better furniture at home and maybe more will show up in this adventure.
We will just have to wait and see.
Hugs
Susan
How lucky is Daphne to have a traveling companion with a stuffed wallet....or is it the traveling companion that's lucky to use Daphne as an excuse.... Great houses! Lovely posts....all three!
ReplyDeleteI think you hit the nail on the head, Florine. Daphne is the perfect excuse. Plus, I have been having incredible luck finding vintage houses on this trip. Sometimes I think I am dreaming.
ReplyDeleteSusan
It is a great little house. I like the mix of scales.

I wished I could join Daphne!..
ReplyDeleteDear Susan, I am so pleased to see you found this and now own it. The little benches in front are really eye catching. Is this a Rich Toy's house? Do you know? No matter though. What matters is it's YOURS. Yippee!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pan. The mix of scales is very cute. Just like the house was being played with by a child instead of someone in her second childhood.
ReplyDeleteLisa, Daphne and her companion are driving home tomorrow and as much as they would love to have you join them there is no room in the car. It is filled to the top with dollhouses. Maybe you can come on the next road trip. lol
Amy, I know! I couldn't believe it when I saw the house. And it was much more affordable than the one you found. I grabbed it and didn't put it down for a second.
ReplyDeleteThe one in your blog had a centre door. I think it was a bigger house, but it was the benches I fell in love with so this house works for me.
Isn't it a funny coincidence?
Susan
Wow, you have been busy and it'a amazing the houses you have found. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of DC, too.
Thanks Dale. I can hardly believe it myself. Now the trick is to get them all in the care for the trip home,
ReplyDeleteSusan
That or buy a bigger vehicle! lol ;)
ReplyDeleteJust make sure they are cushioned well.
It was nice living vicariously through you.
I got them all in. I even picked up an antique handmade one on the way home and got it in the car too. That makes 6 dollhouses and their contents in my rental car. Determination allows for the impossible. lol
ReplyDeleteI will blog about the others when I am finally home and unpacked.
Susan
I'm in awe. :)
ReplyDeleteLol
